Hello!

My name is Susie, I’m an artist & art director specialising in digital illustration, animation and design.

Currently based in Glasgow UK, by day I create visuals for science and medicine. In this field I’ve had the privilege of working on a range of visual communication projects for clients including Scientific American, Calpol, Under Armour and Cambridge University Press.

By night I step away from the science and move into work that looks to process various points of view and find ways to speak on them. This often takes the form of some kind of narrative: sometimes dark, sometimes silly, and sometimes (if I’m really lucky) a little bit of both.

Storytelling is the common thread through all of my work. Whether that story requires a high degree of precision or is simply illustrating a perspective, I always try to prioritise that conversation with the viewer.
